The Othona Community

In a windswept corner of England, at the edge of the world and far from the noise of modern life, an intentional Christian community has been gathering people from every continent since 1946. Rooted in shared life, work, worship, study and play, Othona invites strangers to become neighbours and pilgrimsto find a rootedness called Heimat. Through a theology of encounter transformation is possible. What counts is far from what you believe but presence, resonance and everyday communion. Here, faith, or the absence of it, manifests itself in the courage to live together across cultures, histories and differences.
